Hello, all! This isn’t my last ~official~ week of school (that’s two weeks from now!), but it is my last week of classes, lectures, assignments, etc., and so I thought it would be a good idea to recap my very first year of university!
Man…from getting accepted to one of the best universities in the world, to spending my first semester abroad in London, to figuring out my perfect major and navigating the social life of adults, it’s been a wild ride, and we’re still so far from that degree!
I don’t particularly regret anything about this last year – even the times when I was crying over a boy, or googling alternative colleges, or even just binge-eating french fries dipped in vanilla ice cream, I was still learning and growing as a person. I’m more settled into my personality, I have a better understanding of who I am and what I want out my life/career/relationships/etc., and that is immeasurably valuable.
I’m also SO HAPPY that I had so many amazing adventures! I traveled to three different countries (six if you count my family vacations) in the last eleven months, I’ve assisted in a research lab, I’ve met a Nobel Prize winning scientist, and enjoyed dozens of other fun times. The experience that I’ve gained can only be used to make the next school year even better. 🙂
So, in short, things that I will NOT be doing next year:
- having relationships (platonic, romantic, professional, etc.) with toxic people
- procrastinating on schoolwork (NEVER AGAIN!!)
- forgetting to wear sunscreen
Things that I will CONTINUE to do next year:
- be amazing
- have fun
- work towards my degree!
Cheers, you guys, and happy Dead Week!
